Do the Right Thing is a forty-minute performance by twelve talented elementary and junior high school students. Using drama, dance, and music, the actors will demonstrate the importance of "doing the right thing". In our production this means following one’s inner voice and learning to: think for yourself; be proud of who you are; be a good friend; respect others; stand up, speak up and take action.

Cost

There is no official charge for Do the Right Thing performances but we do appreciate donations which help pay for our travel  and support all of our various commuity projects. We recommend donations in the amount of $300- $500 depending on your abililty to pay. Do the Right Thing is a registered not for profit association but we are not able to provide tax receipts.

Set Up

DTRT does not use any sets and we do not perform on a stage. We prefer to perform on the floor with the audience. We set up facing the children in the audience who will be seated on the floor leaving a corridor down the middle of the room for our actors to move around. We don't need any equipment to be provided by schools apart from four chairs and three small tables for our speakers and sound system. We also require the use of an electrical outlet and sometimes an extension cord may come in handy if it is too far away.
